SICAP-led Breaking the Taboo Network based in Drogheda to co-ordinate an awareness-raising conference to support the UN 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence., conference November 2024

The event was organised by the #SICAP Network of Services for Young People in Drogheda, January 2025 . This is a network of local organisations that plan and coordinate supports and services for young people in our community. This network is facilitated by Louth Local Development’s Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) team and is committed to enhancing the wellbeing, education opportunities and advocacy for all young people in Drogheda. Network members including Boomerang, Foróige, YouthWork Ireland Louth, CYPSC, Holy Family School Completion, Extern Intensive Family Support Services, LMETB Youth Service and Louth Local Development have developed great relationships over the last few years, working hand in hand to make this and other events a reality for Drogheda.

Louth Social Inclusion Week 2025 was an incredible celebration of connection, community, and inclusion — with over 40 events held right across the county! 🙌 From inspiring workshops and community showcases to inclusive activities and learning opportunities, there truly was something for everyone. Some events were closed-group sessions, but many were open to individuals to join in, learn, and connect 🤝
